Regarding the 'Implement Pervasive Encryption for a Dataset' at the following link :

Is there any recommendation or suggestion to encrypt existing datasets rather than just new datasets? IBM may have a product called 'IBM z/OS Data Set Mobility Facility' to deal with conversion of existing unencrypted datasets. Does Top Secret have an option or utility to convert existing unencrypted datasets to become encrypted?

Resolution

Top Secret does not have a utility to do this. To encrypt an existing dataset, the records need to be read and rewritten.
