Load Data Warehouse Job Fails With Parent Keys Not Found Error

Issue/Introduction

When running the Load Data Warehouse job (Full or Incremental), the job fails and the bg-dwh.log shows the following error:

[CA Clarity][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-02298: cannot validate (xxx.DWH_RDM_PICKLIST_LN_FK1) - parent keys not found

Some other tables that could appear in the error:

  • DWH_RES_RESOURCE_LN
  • DWH_TME_ENTRY_LN
  • Other tables with the same format, DWH_xxx_LN

Cause

DWH_xxx_LN tables hold language related information and the data warehouse language options are not properly configured.

Resolution

Go to Administration, General Settings, System Options.

In the Data Warehouse Options, check the selected Languages.

Always select English (other languages may be selected as well). Otherwise, the Data Warehouse job fails.
