Issue/Introduction

Is there a "Best Practice" or a "Common Practice" on the management of the CA 7 Browse dataset?

Are most customers capturing their Browse data in some way?

Resolution

The browse data set is a wrap-a-round file that does not need to be backed up or manage. All the information in the browse data set is also in the LOGP and LOGS files. These 2 files are dumped to an archive file when they fill up.

You can run the SASSHIS8 Report-08 against the log archive to recreate the browse file from a specified date/time. There is not need to manage the browse file.
