Spectrum 10.4.2.x with VNA integration and Interfaces are being automatically renamed

Issue/Introduction

There has been a change in the naming of interface models in Spectrum for the VNA integration for Viptela. This happened for 98 interfaces all at the same time.

This causes a problem with the integration from Spectrum to ServiceNow as it relies on the device name being prepended to the interface name. 

 

Environment

Release : 10.4.2.x with VNA Integration 20.2.4.

Component : Spectrum Integrations / Spectrum OneClick

Cause

Code changes were made to prevent the interface names from changing.

Resolution

Please request patch 10.04.02.01.PTF_10.4.2.116 for Spectrum 10.4.2.1 to prevent the interfaces from being renamed in Spectrum OneClick.

Please request patch 10.04.02.02.PTF_10.4.2.207 for Spectrum 10.4.2.2 to prevent the interfaces from being renamed in Spectrum OneClick.
