Issue/Introduction

Quick Start Guide for Setting Up RSP Monitoring.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - RSP

Resolution

-Discovery a system via Setup Wizard > Discover Devices

-Create two groups

'Monitor' (this is the group where a robot will be placed that will have the rsp probe deployed to it)

'Monitored' (this is the group where the newly (non robot server) discovered will be placed, and will be monitored by the robot in the 'Monitor' group)

-Place the robot in the 'Monitor' group

-Place the newly discovered device in the 'Monitored' group 

-Select the Monitor group > Monitoring Config

-Click to add new profile

-Select 'Setup RSP (Enhanced)' and click CUSTOMIZE MONITORING

Result:

-Click on 'Credentials (Enhanced)' and click on the plus symbol to add a new profile

-Add credentials that will allow you to connect to the device you added to the Monitored group and select to ENABLE

-Use the to go back to the categories, select 'Remote Configuration Groups (Enhanced)' and click on the plus symbol to add a new profile

-Set Group Name to ‘Monitored’ and click CUSTOMIZE MONITORING

Result:

-Once created select ‘Monitored’

This will give you a listing of possible metrics configurations.

-Select metric category 'CPU (Enhanced)' and click on the plus symbol to add a new profile

-Select the desired metrics and then ENABLE

-Perform this operation with any other metrics you choose to enable for the group

Result:

-Select the ‘Monitored’ group > Monitoring Config

-Click to add new profile

-Select ‘Remote System Monitoring (Enhanced)’

-Select the ‘Host Location’ pulldown and select the robot that is in the ‘Monitor’ group

-Enter a ‘Profile Name’

-Select the desired credentials from the ‘Available Login Credentials’

-Select the ‘Protocol’

-Select the newly created ‘Monitored’ template from the ‘Available Templates List’ pulldown

-Select MONITOR
