Issue/Introduction

The following error message when following PAM installation Wizard to create new PAM DB.

[ERROR] com.optinuity.install4j.OasisValidation: Default database is missing:Cannot create file '<path to MDF and LDF SQL Server files>\PAM.mdf' because it already exists. Change the file path or the file name, and retry the operation.

Environment

Release : 17.1

Component : SERVICE DESK MANAGER / Process Automation

Cause

The PAM DB is already created or it was created in the past and the PAM.mdf still exists.

Resolution

Check in the database server where the PAM database is being created if the DB exists or the PAM.mdf is in the folder where the .MDF files are saved. If the database does not exists, the .mdf file can be moved and the creation of the database can be done by following the PAM installation Wizard.
