UIM - NAS Doesn't start and cannot deactivate it: NAS is already running, aborting"

Issue/Introduction

Nas - Doesn't start: In the nas.log I can see:

  NAS is already running, aborting...

Also, I cannot deactivate the NAS it just stays in Error state. 

 

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - NAS

Resolution

1. STOP the NAS probe:

•  If Nas cannot be deactivated and retaining the port use probe utility "port_unregister" callback and set name = 'nas'. 

 

•  If you are running proxy mode (all probes use the same port) then:

Stop the service on UIM, in controller.cfg for the nas portion ser: active = no, restart the service on UIM

2. Redploy the same NAS version

3. Activate nas and it should start correctly
