Issue/Introduction

Some devices cannot handle the amount of snmp received from Spectrum in a short period of time. It causes the device to stop responding to snmp.

Is there a way to control the amount of snmp sent by a SpectroSERVER to a device?

Resolution

You can throttle the snmp on a per device basis using the following two attributes:

Throttling attribute id 0x11f79. By default the value is No. Set it to Yes to enable throttling.

Throttle_Count attribute id 0x11f39. By default the value is 10. This value controls the amount of snmp requests sent to a device at any one time.
