We are attempting to upgrade WCC using ae-installer-12.0.01.00-1481-Linux.iso
The server has WCC and EEM installed. EEM is in a failover configuration across 2 servers. The upgrade says that it will need to stop the WCC and EEM components (igateway and dxserver), plus csam. Is the installer attempting to upgrade both components? EEM is already at 12.6.2.0. The installer does not give the option to select individual components to upgrade. WCC is upgraded in a new location under WorkloadAutomationAE. EEM and dxserver are currently installed under /opt/CA/SharedComponents. Will the upgrade change the location for EEM? Will that impact the EEM failover configuration?
Really we just want to upgrade WCC, but I don't see how we can do that.
Release : 11.4
Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)
Yes, the upgrade will see all the workloadautomation related components on the host and try to upgrade them all (AE,WCC,EEM).
There is not an option to selectively upgrade only one component if more than one are present on the host.
Yes, WCC is relocated as of r12 to be under the WorkloadAutomationAE/wcc directory but EEM remains under /opt/CA/SharedComponents.
If your EEM servers are in multi-write you can either choose to leave them in multi-write and upgrade/update them both so multi-write continues to function or you can break the multi-write and upgrade just one for now as needed.
EEM's multi-write is only supported when both EEM servers are at the exact same level.
