Issue/Introduction

Trying to install version 12 server on Red Hat using Oracle.

I did not select EEM, and EEM is not listed as a dependency for any selected component, but further in the install wizard EEM seems to be required.

How do I proceed without requiring EEM?

Release : 12

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

The "REST web service" requires an EEM be available for it to use.
The REST web service is what will allow you to interact with AutoSys via direct web service calls, or from some of WCC's tabs such as Agent Inventory, Forecast, ECLI.

EEM does not need to be installed locally. But one must be in your environment for the REST web service and WCC to use.

The AutoSys scheduler and application servers can run in EEM or Native (non-EEM) security mode.
