Issue/Introduction

When running CA Workload Automation CA7 R12.1 installation job AL2DCA40 getting the following error message in multiple of the steps. 

DDTRS0016E DBQEXEI FAILED SQL COMMAND QEXEI, RC: -117.
         SQL ERROR MESSAGE: RETURN CODE <76(002)> ON COMMAND <QEXEI> TABLE <> DBID <00000> KEY <>

Resolution

The DDTRS0016E DBQEXEI FAILED SQL COMMAND QEXEI, RC: -117 where RC:-17  indicates a security error and the USER submitting the job does not have security access to run the IMPORT steps.

The SQL ERROR MESSAGE: RETURN CODE <76(002)> ON COMMAND <QEXEI> TABLE <> DBID <00000> KEY <> explains the security validation encountered.

Check the CA Datacom Message Guide for error RETURN CODE 76(002).  In this case, the Return Code 76,

Open Error

While opening a data set, a security validation resulted in a failure of the authorization request.

 

Review the CA 7 Datacom MUF for any security messages while the job AL2DCA40 was running to see the data set with security failure.
