AE R12 install with MSSQL DB error Unable to find SQLCMD

Issue/Introduction

When installing Autosys AE 12 with a Microsoft SQL DB, I receive an error about  Unable to find "sqlcmd" in the PATH...

Cause

AE requires an additional package to connect to the database

Resolution

Cancel the install.

Download Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS): SSMS is a requirement for sqlcmd utility.

Install it.
Reboot

Download the Microsoft sqlcmd utility from this link

Install it.
Reboot

You do not need to do anything with this utility. It just needs to be installed and the server rebooted.

Start the AE installer again.
