Issue/Introduction

Some inconsistent behavior can be seen when switching between nodes (failover) or deploying new DR Nodes into a vApp environment.  What is the cause of this?

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

It is important that all vApp nodes are deployed with the same cumulative patch level (ie CP2).  This applies even if the component (for example IM) is not actively being used on that specific node*. 

*This ensures that any common code and underlying archives are updated.  This is required for compatibility between nodes.
