Issue/Introduction

Requirements:

Moving WPs, CPs, and Automic database in the cloud.

Agents will continue to be on-premise behind a proxy.  Are there any problems or requirements with having on-premise agents connecting to the Automation Engine in the cloud?

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Resolution

The requirements in this situation are that:

  • The agents be able to communicate with the CPs and
  • The CPs be able to communicate with the agents
  • The network connection between the agents and CPs must be good (not a slow connection)
  • The agent server needs to be able to connect to anything the agents should connect to (3rd party apps like Informatica, Peoplesoft, etc...  or databases for SQL agents)
