Issue/Introduction

Deleting a management module using ManagementModuleEditor in the Workstation is not reflected in WebView. The Management Module and its dashboards are still there.

MOM needs to be restarted before the deleted Management Module disappears from WebView

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Component : APM Agents

Cause

Upon further investigation, the management module name and elements would still show in the WebView > Management section but none of the configured elements such as alerts and metric groupings will show. The Jar File Name will also be blank.

Dashboards would still be listed in console view, but an error will appear when selecting them

Resolution

If the user logs out and back in, the remains of the management module will no longer be visible in WebView - the MOM restart is not actually required.

Additional Information

If individual elements, i.e an alert, are deleted in the Workstation, this will also be reflected in WebView after a few seconds, no need to log out.

The APM audit feature reports upon deletion of management modules so it can be useful to inform users when they might need to log out and back in again by checking logs or REST API
