FTP on one node went down on our UC4 Prod instance..

Issue/Introduction

Automic RA FTP Agent is stopping  with the following error:

U02000010 Connection to Server '<servername>/<ip address>:<port>' terminated.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread

.

 

Environment

Release : 12..x

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Resolution

This error means our Agent ran out of java memory and crashed. To allocate more java memory when starting up our Agent, as depicted in our guides:

in the section "Starting our Agents" - please allocate a higher value in the -Xmx setting (example:)
