Issue/Introduction

While using CPF Recovery File on Top Secret the following message was received:

TSS9803W NO FREE RECORDS ON CPF RECOVERY FILE

(Ex. System "A" that CPF's to System "B" and System "B" is down for a lengthy time and the CPF file is filled up.)

If System B is currently down and during this time 2 ID's are created on system A. Is there anyway to get them to system B without having to rebuild them?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

When the CPF Recovery File is full a message is written to the Top Secret Joblog and console each time CPF wants to write a message to the file but cannot. The commands are executed in the origin node and are sent to the remote nodes but in case of failure, the unwritten command cannot be recovered.

The commands are not stored in memory of TSS .  If the command was executed in origin node while the CPF Recovery File is full and the remote node was down the command is not executed in the remote node and will not be executed when the remote node becomes active.  The command is only executed in the local node and in the remote nodes that are not down.
