DBG98008W Invalid dynamic SQL record dropped

How can I avoid these messages?. What do they mean?. Is this warning something I should review?.

Environment

Release : 20.0

Component : CA SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS

Resolution

To avoid this DBG98008W warning message you have to remove the IFCID 316 and 401 in HIST-STATS-RECS=(1,2,...,316,401) parameter and not collect the SQL statistics.

The DBG98008W warning message indicates that the Data Collector failed to add a captured IFCID 316 to the Data Collector internal tables.

In the Data Collector output there was HISTORY=YES parameter but then there was not any History file allocated for SQL statements.

HSTSQLDB-DSN='HLQ.SSID.HSTSQLDB'

The Post-Install Tasks for CA SYSVIEW for DB2 when you did the upgrade to Release 20.0 were not run. You have to run the Post-Install Tasks and in R200.CDBASAMP(ssid0550) member check how the HSTSQLDB-DSN is defined.

Define the HLQ.SSID.HSTSQLDB data set and add the HSTSQLDB-DSN parameter to the Data Collector.

Update the HIST-STATS-RECS parameter to add again the IFCID's 316 and 401 and the DBG98008W message will disappear.
