No files scanned during a SharePoint discover scan

Issue/Introduction

No files are scanned when running a discover scan against a target that used to report files scanned.

Environment

DLP 15.x

Cause

A "Microsoft Records Management Add-in" was installed on the SharePoint site that moved all the files out of the site's file repository to a separate file server, leaving a .aspx file in place for each file that was moved.

Resolution

This is working as designed. Our SharePoint crawler has no knowledge of what these .aspx files' functionality is, nor how to interact with or follow the programmatic redirection to the files now on a different server.

The functionality of our Discover Scan for SharePoint is to scan files within the site repositories.
