Issue/Introduction

Calendar with Holidays or Special Days can have can very specific days.  In some instances, the days may have past date.

Environment

Release : 12.x

Component : CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION DE (DSERIES)

Cause

Next events are always calculated when the current event is triggered.

E.g. If an event runs on weekdays, then next event is calculated for Tuesday when current is triggered for Monday.

If the event uses special days from the calendar, then it will calculate the next event based on the next available day.  If there is no next date available in future and all dates have passed then no new event will calculated.  The Next Scheduled Time field will be empty.

Resolution

Once the event is unable to calculate Next Scheduled Time, then the calendar must be updated with the new valid days or dates in future.  The event then has to be re-uploaded.  This can be done by opening the event and change days or add some to the 'Remarks' field and save it again.  The DE server will then re-evaluate the event and will set Next Scheduled Time.
