Issue/Introduction

UniViewer Console takes around 5 minutes to start on server where Remote Desktop Service is installed.

Environment

Release : 6.x

Component : DOLLAR UNIVERSE

Sub-Component: Univiewer Console

Cause

The problem occurs because of a limitation of the resources by session that is active on Terminal Services (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/troubleshoot/windows-server/remote/fair-share-enabled-by-default-in-rds).

Resolution

Inactivate that “Fair Share Scheduling” for CPU, Disk and Network, UniViewer Console starts in less than 30 seconds.
