Issue/Introduction

During upgrade from 8.14 to 9.3 when running the script cdinst.sh, the last prompt question was:

/opt/apxuprod/home/c/change_awenv R Install update_schedule
Update the next rundate for all schedules          [Y] ?N

Why is this message displayed?

What is the difference between Y and N?

Environment

Release : 9.3

Component : APPLICATIONS MANAGER

Resolution

This message is displayed when awinstall script is modified. The reason behind this modification is to include an additional prompt in order to allow the user to choose how they wanted the schedules in Applications Manager to behave after performing an install/upgrade.

The purpose of this question during upgrade is :

Selecting 'Y' will update all schedules to the next eligible runtime and will SKIP all schedules that were eligible to run during downtime

Selecting 'N' will not update the schedules so that any jobs scheduled to run during the downtime will kick off immediately following the upgrade
