Issue/Introduction

CA Pan/SQL 2.4C installed and moving DB2 v11 to New Function Mode. 

What actions are needed by CA Pan/SQL product to implement this?

 

 

Environment

CA Easytrieve Report Generator, release 11.6

CA Pan/SQL 2.4C

DB2 v11 New Function Mode

 

Resolution

The parameter which needs to be changed in the IJ3STGE1 JCL:

//DB2COMP EXEC PGM=DSNHPC,PARM='HOST(ASM),XREF,SOURCE,NEWFUN(YES)' <<< here

Please change the NEWFUN parameter in the IJ3STGE1 job set to YES.

The DB2REL parameter in the OMSMCMD2 member in the CAIMAC may still be set to '111'.


Then, please run IJ3STGE1 and CB2ACMDL for one DB2 subsystem.

For other multiple subsystems which you want to upgrade now and do not need to access the older ones, please do run SQLINST4 for any other of your DB2 subsystems for which you would like to run DB2 v11 in new function mode.
