Error 404 due to URL is not reachable via certificate expired alarm

Issue/Introduction

This URL is not reachable due to expired certificate

On one of the URL we need to monitor just the URL certificate expired with error message 404. Can we disregard certificate expired alarm?

Cause

Resolution

You will need to monitor the URL. The URL is tied together with the certificate expiration date. 

When you type a URL or follow a link to a secure website, your browser will check the certificate for the following characteristics:

1. The website address matches the address on the certificate.
2. The certificate is signed by a certificate authority that the browser recognizes as a "trusted" authority.
