Issue/Introduction

When utilizing the new flash-free group editor, we are receiving an error saying that the system is not responding in the allowed time.

Cause

A large number of subgroups all under one single top-level group can potentially take several minutes to display

Environment

Release : 20.2.x

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

You can alter the system timeout values for this call utilizing the below settings.  You will want to raise the value (in milliseconds) to a point where the groups will display, then tweak it from there so as to not allow an abundance of extra time.

 

In http://PC:8181/pc/center/admin/debug/attrs (use an account with administrative access like Admin) update these 2 settings...

Client.ServerExecutionTimeout

Client.ServerExecutionTimeoutMs

Increase these values to account for the time the groups will take.  The default is 90000 ms (aka 1.5 mins).  When altering these values, don't forget to click the Update button at the top of the page to ensure the changes are saved.
