Issue/Introduction

We are trying to set a new default policy for Custom Relationships when importing a service. By default the policy uses ANY as criteria, but the percentage is needed.

With the SQL table modified where the policies are stored, the Percentage is marked as default.

Following a restart of the SOI Manager this policy is shown when importing a new service containing Custom relationships - e.g. the UI works fine and displays the new default policy.  But the engine still uses the old default for calculation of the impact.

Only when you go into Edit mode of the service, then go into Edit of the Custom policy and save (without any changes), the new policy is also used for calculation - which is not doable for 500+ services.

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : Service Operations Insight (SOI) Manager

Resolution

It is not recommended to do any change from database because there is lots of relationship between table.

So, we can only change relationship from SOI console.

Below is document reference where we can change default criteria ANY to percentage .

Go to the tools menu => click on propagation polices ==> click on set for custom propagation then click set link

here, you need to change criteria ANY to percentage
