Unable to apply GSS license, error: "... xxx is not a valid license Activation Key file"

Issue/Introduction

Receiving errors when trying to apply the new SLF file for our Ghost Solutions Suite when using the license.exe tool (Start > Programs > Altiris > Deployment Solution > Product Licensing Utility).

Release : GSS 3.1

Resolution

Cleared out all licenses files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Altiris\eXpress\Deployment Server\Licenses and then was able to install the new license files.

NOTE 1: Another common way to apply licenses from the GSS Console is to go to: Help > Register
