How to produce a SVC dump of the OPSMAIN or OPSOSF address spaces

Issue/Introduction

Sometimes it can be necessary to produce a SVC dump of the OPSMAIN or one of the OPSOSF servers to allow OPS developers to investigate problems.

Environment

Release : 13.5 14.0

Component : OPS/MVS

Resolution

Recommended procedure to create a SVC dump:

1) Issue the z/OS console command

DUMP COMM=(OPS)

2) The DUMP command will produce a WTOR message.

Reply the WTOR:

R xx,JOBNAME=OPSMAIN,SDATA=(ALLNUC,PSA,CSA,SQA,LSQA,LPA,TRT,RGN,SUM,GRSQ),END

or 

R xx,JOBNAME=OPSOSF,SDATA=(ALLNUC,PSA,CSA,SQA,LSQA,LPA,TRT,RGN,SUM,GRSQ),END
