XCOMM1428I PARAMETER VERSION HAS BEEN DEPRECATED, VALUE IGNORED

Issue/Introduction

The following messages are seen at the start of XCOM in two of the systems, in one of them it shows 18 messages and in the other 69 messages:

XCOMM1428I PARAMETER VERSION HAS BEEN DEPRECATED, VALUE IGNORED

Why are there different numbers of messages on the two systems?

Release : 12.0

Component : CA XCOM Data Transport for z/OS

Resolution

XCOMM1428I PARAMETER VERSION HAS BEEN DEPRECATED, VALUE IGNORED is displayed when a destination member is enabled that contains the VERSION parameter.  That parameter was deprecated in release 11.6 back in October of 2011.

To get rid of these error messages, edit your config members and remove any lines specifying the VERSION parameter.


There are different numbers of these messages on different XCOM systems because there are different numbers of destination members on the two systems.
