Issue/Introduction

The following error message is encountered when navigating to an HTTPS Reverse Proxy service utilized for the Notice and Consent banner. The Notice and Consent banner is also known as the Admin Login banner.

Request Error (invalid_request)

This could be caused by a misconfiguration, or possibly a malformed request.

Cause

Policy used for normal website traffic affect the banner requests. Some policy gestures error out the banner requests.

Resolution

The content policy language (CPL) solution provided in this article was designed to address these issues.

Remove the visual policy manager (VPM) banner policy before installing the CPL solution.
