Issue/Introduction

Currently, when Automic Event management server is rebooted, Autosys tries to reconnect 5 tries in an interval of less than a minute. However, this time is not sufficient to establish the connection and the following message is received :
 
CAUAJM_E_40379 - An unrecoverable error has occurred or the maximum number of allowable errors has been exceeded. One Automation Event Management messaging has been disabled.

Cause

The encountered problem was related to the following known problem registered and under investigation by SE :

ONE AUTOMATION INTEGRATION DOES NOT RESET COMMUNICATION

Component: CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Problem: 4850

Problem Description

When CA Workload Automation scheduler fails to send events to Automic server

due to some problem, the scheduler will make five reconnection attempts

before disabling the One Automation integration. Pause/Resume services

does not reset the communication between the scheduler and Automic service.

 

Symptom

When the scheduler fails to communicate with Automic service, following messages are written to the log:

CAUAJM_E_40388 An error has occurred calling One Automation Event Management

- API Response Code rc=xxx

CAUAJM_E_40379 An unrecoverable error has occurred or the maximum number of allowable errors has been exceeded. One Automation Event Management messaging has been disabled.

Pause/Resume of scheduler does not re-establish the connection.

 

Applicable Releases

CA WAAE r11.3.6 SP8 and above

 

Root Cause

The scheduler does not check OneAutomationEvents to re-establish the One Automation integration.
