Issue/Introduction

We use the #DEFAULT profile to assign all applications in the ACT (Application Characteristics Table) to all dynamic users.

One application requires session data before the user can establish a session (fixed 4 char string - does not vary from user to user).

So session data is defined in a TPX profile with this one application only and this profile is assigned to users when they need access to the application. We are looking to eliminate this overhead and remove this profile.

Is it possible to specify session data at the ACT (system) level? Any options other than within profile session definition?

Resolution

No, it is not possible to define session data in ACT.

You can only define SESSION DATA at the profile and user level in the session definition.
