Issue/Introduction

Sometimes, Customers want to use their own keystore file for the 1way SSL instead of DevTest keystore and want to know is it possible to configure keystore information in VSE local.properties and Portal can pick it automatically.

Environment

Release : 10.x

Component : CA Service Virtualization

Cause

Customer don't want to share the keystore information with all users.

Resolution

Yes, it is possible to configure the Keystore information in VSE local.properties and DevTest Portal can pick it automatically during the recording. Please follow the below steps:

. On the VSE Server, edit local.properties file and have the following properties pointed to the Customer Keystore that has Legitimate SSL Server certificate

     ssl.server.cert.path

     ssl.server.cert.pass

     Start VSE Service

In Portal while initiating recording, do not select any keystore. But choose "Use SSL" option. The design has been such that, in the absence of an Explicit keystore for Recorder's endpoint, the keystore pointed by the property ' ssl.server.cert.path' is used. If this property is not set, then vse.ks file in LISA_HOME folder will be used
