Return code -20 Using ADDRESS JOBTRAC from OPS/REXX

Issue/Introduction

When executing the an ADDRESS JOBTRAC from an OPS/REXX program the following error occurs:

OPS0997T *-* 8:ADDRESS 'JOBTRAC' "MOD JOB("JOB1") DEP(-M)"
OPS0997T +++    RC(-20)

Release : 13.0 13.5 14.0

Component : OPS/MVS

Cause

This return code -20 means:

---------------------------------------------------------------
-20 = 'GSS fails or is not active when the program containing  
       the ADDRESS statement executes'                         
---------------------------------------------------------------

Resolution

Make sure the GSSA started task is up and running and that the communication with CA Jobtrac has been established.
