Issue/Introduction

When executing the "WDPS (Aggregation of Imports)" workflow within Identity Governance, the "Create Universe Configurations If Needed" step only triggers if no configuration currently exists.

Customers may require a method to systematically overwrite or force the recreation of these configurations during an import process to ensure settings are refreshed.

Environment

Identity Governance 14.x

Cause

The "Create Universe Configurations If Needed" workflow step is designed with conditional logic. It is not architected to force a rewrite or recreation of configurations that are already detected in the environment; it is strictly intended to handle the initialization of missing configurations.

Resolution

Currently, Identity Governance does not support a parameter or configuration setting to systematically force the recreation of existing configurations during the import workflow. To update existing configurations, the following manual process must be performed:

  1. Navigate to the Universe Configuration management interface within Identity Governance.
  2. Locate the existing configuration that requires refreshing.
  3. Manually delete the existing configuration record.
  4. Re-run the "WDPS (Aggregation of Imports)" workflow. The system will detect the absence of the configuration and recreate it based on the current import parameters.
