CSM (CA Chorus Software Manager) encounters a severe error trying to migrate a CSI

Issue/Introduction

Attempts to migrate a CSI into CSM encounters the following errors:

MMR0100T - An SMP/E error occurred: GIM44263T GIMVSMSG - THERE WAS AN ERROR DURING AN OPEN OF THE ACB.
MMR0100I - An SMP/E error occurred: GIM44279I GIMMPVIA - VSAM OPEN FAILED. THE REASON CODE IS 00228.
MMR0100E - An SMP/E error occurred: GIM50504E OPEN PROCESSING FAILED FOR THE C2006D ZONE.
MMR0200I - A serious error has occurred during execution of the query.

  

 

 

 

Cause

The SMP/E CSI that was being migrated into CSM, and encountering the failure was missing the ZONEINDEX and FMID list along with missing the zone entries that tells the target zones a Distribution zone is related.

Resolution

The user manually deleted all of the CSI's "old" obsolete target and DLIB zones entries. This allowed the CSI to be successfully migrated into CSM.
