Issue/Introduction

All Siteminder customers are entitled to use Symantec Directory for Policy Stores, Session Stores, and Audit Stores. The limited use license for Symantec Directory is bundled with the Siteminder license automatically.

The download for Symantec Directory for Siteminder is found in neither the Download Center nor the Siteminder Hotfix/Cumulative Release Index.

Cause

The products present in the Broadcom Download Center are tied to licensing entitlement. The option for Symantec Directory in the Download Center would only be presented if the Company Site ID were tied to a valid Symantec Directory license.  The SiteMinder license will not directly activate entitlement for Directory Server in the Download Center. 

The "SiteMinder Hotfix/Cumulative Release Index" hosts Siteminder components such as Service Packs (SP) and Cumulative Releases (CR). While these are full, standalone installs, bundled products such as Symantec Directory are not stored in the "SiteMinder Hotfix/Cumulative Release Index".

Resolution

Downloads of Symantec Directory Server bundled with SiteMinder are found within a GA release if SiteMinder in the Download Center.

1) Open a Web Browser

2) Browse to this location:

My Downloads (support.broadcom.com)

3) Select "Cyber Security Software" from the drop down in the top right next to your username.

4) Search for "siteminder".

5) Select the "Siteminder" link below the search bar.

6) Select for one of the following:

SiteMinder for Business Users MULTI-PLATFORM
SiteMinder for Consumer Users MULTI-PLATFORM
SiteMinder for External Users MULTI-PLATFORM
SiteMinder for Internal Users MULTI-PLATFORM

7) 'Click' on the release you are running. (For the most current version of Directory Server, select the most current version of Siteminder)

8) Search for "Directory Server".

9) Download the installer that matches your Operating System.
