Issue/Introduction

HyperionFM agent fails to start

The error in the forced trace:

rg.apache.bsf.BSFException: exception from Groovy: org.codehaus.groovy.control.MultipleCompilationErrorsException: startup failed:

General error during class generation: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Unable to load class com.automic.hyperionfm.AbstractHyperionAction due to missing dependency oracle/epm/fm/common/exception/HFMException

Resolution

User that starts the agent has to have sufficient access to bin directory of the agent installation. Modify permissions to the bin folder and its subfolders. 

If this does not resolve the issue, create a ticket with Broadcom support.
