Issue/Introduction

Upgrading the operating system or  JES2 requires  that Jobtrac usermod UM00001  be reassembled.   Message TRACWARN - GJTRUJV2 UNABLE TO LOCATE JCT will occur for AUTO-SCHD jobs if the usermod is not reassembled.

To avoid receiving message TRACWARN - GJTRUJV2 UNABLE TO LOCATE JCT after an operating system or JES2 upgrade , member HD11JES2 needs to be run. Jobtrac Job Management  provides a USERMOD for customers that use JES2 and are using the AUTO-SCHD feature. AUTO-SCHD jobs are submitted from outside of Jobtrac  and may be held in the JES2 input queue until the job's requirements have been met. Traditionally,  Jobtrac  has used the $HJ command to hold jobs during job conversion, but later releases of JES2 delay the command's processing and can let the jobstart running before the command is processed. Applying USERMOD UM00001 lets Jobtrac  hold jobs by setting flags directly in the JES2 control blocks.  For instructions on how to reapply Jobtrac usermod UM0001 please refer to the link below:
