Issue/Introduction

Is CCI PC needed for Datacom Server 15.0 ODBC client or JDBC client/proxy server?

Resolution

No. The Datacom Server 15.x client does not require CAICCI PC as it did in prior releases.

Either CCI or TCP/IP can be used depending on how the Mainframe server has been configured in the PROTOCOL parameter (CCI, TCP or BOTH). 

Note that the JDBC proxy is only needed for Type 3 connections. Release 15.0 supports Type 4 JDBC connections that don't require the JDBC proxy.
