Graphs do not render on DCI WEB UI after maintenance

Issue/Introduction

After having applied maintenance to CA Dynamic Capacity Intelligence (DCI), the graphs (either using the or the   icon) do not show up in the Report tab of the WEB UI.

Hovering the mouse where the graphs should be, then black crossbars start appearing. Clicking on the Table icon ( ), the data are correctly displayed in tabular format.

Cause

This problem usually occurs when the WEB Server is set up to use ASCII format but the DCI WEB UI elements are in EBCDIC. Or vice versa.

Resolution

When refreshing the WEB UI elements after having applied maintenance (see Refreshing WEB UI elements after having applied DCI PTFs), run $05USS job with the correct input member:

• HTTPINST if your WEB Server is set up for EBCDIC
• HTTPINSB if your WEB Server is set up for ASCII
