Oracle Upgrade to Oracle 19c, configuration considerations

Issue/Introduction

We are now planning to upgrade Oracle 12.2 to 19c. Is there any specific configurations that we need to change on the Oracle 19c database after upgrade?

Resolution

• There are no specific recommendations for the Oracle upgrade, follow the vendor recommendations on completing it
• Ensure the version is supported in Release Notes
• If you are also doing a Clarity upgrade, we recommend upgrading Oracle before upgrading Clarity
• After the upgrade, apply parameters needed for Oracle 19c under section "Post-Upgrade: Optimize Oracle 19c Performance"
