HDD space different between 2 nodes

Issue/Introduction

The customer found out that the HDD space displayed in node 1 and 2 (cluster environment) are different. 

How can the HDD space be different on both the nodes, especially when both the nodes are Hardware boxes and running the same version of CA PAM.

Environment

Release : 3.3

Component : PRIVILEGED ACCESS MANAGEMENT

Hardware box: PAM X 304L

Cause

This is quite possible since the earlier shipments of the Hardware boxes (PAM X 304 L) were having 80GB HDD and later shipments were having 250GB HDD. The reason for this is that 80GB HDDS were no longer available hence the newer X 304L devices have a bigger HDD.

With 404L hardware devices, the default HDD space is 250GB.

Resolution

Having different HDD space does not cause any problem with the working of CA PAM software. The reason for the difference in the HDD is expalined above.
