Issue/Introduction

After a new installation of the Workload Automation DE product, the error "no such object in table" is received when trying to login to the Desktop Client. This error results for all users.

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION DE (DSERIES) DESKTOP CLIENT

Resolution

- Add the IP address and server name for both your Primary and Standby to the /etc/hosts file on both of your DE servers.
- Add the IP address and server name for both your Primary and Standby to your local workstation so you can connect to these servers using the actual machine name instead of the IP addresses.

Provided your network ports are open to allow for communications, you should get connected without further issue. If you cannot get connected and it just sits there trying to connect to the server, then you need to verify that port 7500 is allowing communications bi-directionally within your network.
Keep in mind, a local firewall on the server could potentially be preventing connectivity as well.
