Issue/Introduction

 A user received an error running a batch job to read a tape. CTS is up and running other tape jobs are not having this issue. 

CAG8001E CAN NOT OBTAIN WORK AREA. BYPASSING API.                  

CTS998E CA TAPE MGMT INTERCEPTS ARE NOT ACTIVE!! 658               

   TAPES ARE NOT PROTECTED AND TAPE ACTIVITY IS                    

   NOT BEING RECORDED! CTS999D WILL BE ISSUED FOR                  

   EACH TAPE MOUNT, REPLY U, M, OR C.                              

                                                                   

   U TO USE THE TAPE WITHOUT TAPE MANAGEMENT.                      

   C TO CANCEL THE JOB WITH A SYSTEM ABEND.

Resolution

The CTS proc had a region parm of 128M. Update the region to 0M and let the OS determine the amount of CSA that CTS can obtain.
