Custom Installation of the r20 IMS Tools fails on Receive

Issue/Introduction

When installing r20 of the CA Database Management Solutions for IMS using CA CSM and performing a Custom Installation, the RECEIVE may fail with GIM39001E errors for the selected products. For example:

GIM39001E ** SYSMOD CICPK00 WAS NOT RECEIVED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SPECIFIED ON THE SELECT OPERAND.
GIM39001E ** SYSMOD CIDAK00 WAS NOT RECEIVED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SPECIFIED ON THE SELECT OPERAND.
GIM39001E ** SYSMOD CIDOK00 WAS NOT RECEIVED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SPECIFIED ON THE SELECT OPERAND.
GIM39001E ** SYSMOD CIXBK00 WAS NOT RECEIVED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SPECIFIED ON THE SELECT OPERAND.
GIM24801W NO SYSMODS SATISFIED THE OPERANDS SPECIFIED ON THE RECEIVE COMMAND.

Cause

Prerequisite components must be manually selected.

Resolution

When you select the custom installation type, you also need to select the prerequisite features manually.

• Ensure that you include the CA Common Component for IMS for z/OS feature. This feature is required for successful installation.
• If you plan to use the Snapshot General Services to create Snapshot (Flash) Image Copies, ensure that you include the CA DBM Solutions Snapshot Gene feature.
• If you plan to use the ITK Started Task, be sure to include the feature CA Started Task for IMS for z/OS.
