Issue/Introduction

Custom attributes do not appear while creating a ticket in the xFlow/Service Point UI

The following document describes how to allow new attributes to be displayed in xFlow/ServicePoint.

Environment

Service Desk Manager 17.x

xFlow/ServicePoint

All Supported Operating Systems

Resolution

  1. Login to the Service Desk Manager UI as an Administrator and navigate to Administration->Xflow Interface->object Attributes-> Create new

Add the custom attribute(s).  Example shown below is a custom "zlocation" attribute that was defined in Web Screen Painter for the cr object.

  2. Navigate to Administration->Xflow Interface->General, select "empFactoryAccess" (search under Configuration Key) and update it with the custom table name/object name associated with the attribute.  You may skip this step if the attribute is not associated to a custom table or object.

  3. Navigate to Administration->XFlow Interface->Service Point ->Configuration->Default->New Ticket Attributes and add the given attribute

  4. Restart the xFlow Service for the changes to take effect

Login to Service Point. You should be able to view the custom attributes.
