Issue/Introduction

PAM Admin is migrating from NFS to CIFS for session recording and database backups.

They want to know what impact it will have on the current session recordings viewable from the UI.

Environment

Release : 3.4.x

Component : PRIVILEGED ACCESS MANAGEMENT

Resolution

Ultimately after migrating and copying the files from NFS to CIFS, in PAM the local mount point will be the same and therefore the only thing that matters is permissions.

As long as the user who is configured in the UI, has full control over the CIFS share in question, we will be able to view the old copied NFS session recording, delete and create new sessions recordings.
