Solvessi abends with 878 / will not stay up after implementing zERT

Issue/Introduction

Recently installed Netmaster 12.2 and the SOLVESSI started task keeps shutting down

Two dumps occur when the task ends. The first is an 878 abend. Dump title for the first abend:

For the second abend:

Cause

zERT records are flooding the SOLVESSI. Records on a busy system may accumulate faster than they can be processed, causing the SSI to get an SOS condition and abend with S878.

Resolution

Apply the following fixes.

After applying SO13563 PTF you either require an IPL, or you can add the following SSI parm which forces a replacement of the SMF exits. 

It will require to SHUTDOWN and restart NMSSI to pick up the SSI parm changes. 

 

Add this SSI PARM:

SMFREPLACE=YES

 

Workaround until fixes are applied: Run an OBEYFILE for the SMFCONFIG setting TYPE=119 NOZERTDETAIL.
The PROFILE member would also need to be changed so it doesn't break again after IPL.
