HPE XP7 storage monitoring - which probe to use in UIM?

Issue/Introduction

Which probe can we use in CA UIM v20.3 to monitor the latest HPE XP7 storage technology?

Like for HPE 3PAR we have hp_3par probe.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM- HP_XP7

Resolution

The HPE XP7 storage is currently not supported. An Idea on the same has been created, please make sure you upvote it.

If the Project Management approves it, we could have support for HPE XP7 storage, to access the idea, please click here

 

Alternatively, you could:

1) give hp_3par probe a try but there is no guarantee this would work.

2) try using the snmpcollector probe which collects data from devices supporting snmp.

However to get complete list of metrics the device has to be supported.
